We are seeking a highly experienced remote Chief SAP ABAP Developer to join our team and participate in large-scale SAP implementation projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, evaluating, and documenting reliable and scalable integration solutions for SAP and non-SAP integration using various technologies like SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP, Kafka, and 3rd party application integration services and solutions. You will provide technical consultation in the integration area during pre-sales activities and collaborate with customers to present and explain solutions, gather NFRs, and operate with non-functional requirements and quality attributes. You will also enforce best practices and a continuous improvement culture on the project and expand your knowledge and experience in SAP systems and beyond.

responsibilities

Design, evaluate, and document reliable and scalable integration solutions for SAP and non-SAP integration leveraging various technologies
Provide input to architecture, security, and data standards, ensuring governance and compliance with these standards
Participate in pre-sales activities as a technical consultant in the integration area
Collaborate with customers to present and explain solutions, gather NFRs, and operate with non-functional requirements and quality attributes
Estimate work efforts related to integration development and technical architecture components
Advise on SAP CIO Guides (On-premises, Cloud / Hybrid), Integration Solution Advisory Methodology (ISA-M), Application Extension Methodology, RISE with SAP
Enforce best practices and continuous improvement culture on the project
Expand your knowledge and experience in SAP systems and beyond

requirements

7+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development and integration solutions
At least two full-cycle project participation experience
At least 2 years of relevant leadership experience (team up to 10 FTEs)
Experience in large-scale SAP S/4 HANA implementation projects
Experience designing system integration solutions in big heterogeneous enterprise landscapes
Expertise in building solutions with SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, Event Mesh, API Management, Open Connectors, etc.)
Competency in programming languages such as ABAP, Java, Groovy, and JavaScript (Node.js, TypeScript)
Broad knowledge of different integration tools and platforms, ability to design solutions using various technologies
Understanding of different Integration Styles and Use-Case Patterns, and respective solutions from SAP Portfolio (and other vendors)
Excellent communication and leadership skills, readiness to communicate with customers
Fluent in English with an Upper-Intermediate level

Understanding of Cloud Computing concepts
A decent understanding of agile delivery methodologies
High-level understanding of several SAP products capabilities, functionality, and technologies: SAP S/4HANA (Finance, Logistics, Production), SAP C/4HANA (Commerce, Marketing, Sales), SAP SCM (TM, EWM, IBP), SAP GRC (AC, PC, RM), SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba
Understanding of SAP Integration Solution Advisory Methodology
Experience with different APIs, Data formats, protocols, and adapters (SOAP/REST via HTTP/OData/AS2/SFTP/AMQP/MQTT, etc.)
