We are seeking an experienced remote Chief SAP ABAP Developer to lead large-scale SAP implementation projects and design reliable and scalable integration solutions leveraging various technologies.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing input to architecture, security, and data standards, participating in pre-sales activities, and collaborating with customers to present and explain solutions while gathering NFRs. If you have a broad knowledge of different integration tools and platforms, expertise in building solutions with SAP Integration Suite, and excellent communication and leadership skills, we encourage you to apply.

responsibilities

Participate in large-scale SAP implementation projects and provide input to architecture, security, and data standards
Design, evaluate, and document reliable and scalable integration solutions for SAP and non-SAP integration leveraging various technologies, including SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP, Kafka, and 3rd party application integration services and solutions
Participate in pre-sales activities as a technical consultant in the integration area and collaborate with customers to present and explain solutions while gathering NFRs
Operate with non-functional requirements and quality attributes, estimate work efforts related to integration development and technical architecture components
Advise on SAP CIO Guides, Integration Solution Advisory Methodology, Application Extension Methodology, RISE with SAP, and enforce best practices and continuous improvement culture on the project

requirements

Minimum of 7 years of experience as a SAP ABAP Developer, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role
Expertise in SAP ABAP in S/4HANA and comprehensive understanding of SOAP, REST API, OData, AMQP, MQTT, and Apache Kafka
Proficiency in working with SAP Integration Suite, Java, Groovy, Node.js, and other programming languages
Broad knowledge of SAP products capabilities, functionality, and technologies, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP C/4HANA, SAP SCM, SAP GRC, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Ariba
Strong understanding of different Integration Styles and Use-Case Patterns, and respective solutions from SAP Portfolio and other vendors
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate with customers and build trustworthy relationships
Fluent English language skills with an Upper-Intermediate level

nice to have

Experience working with Cloud Computing concepts
A good understanding of Software Architecture, especially the one connected with system integration (EDA, SOA, messaging, EIP, etc.)
Understanding of agile delivery methodologies
Decent understanding of SAP Integration Solution Advisory Methodology
