Chief SAP ABAP Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced remote Chief SAP ABAP Developer to join our team.

In this position, you will be responsible for leading large-scale SAP implementation projects, designing reliable and scalable integration solutions using a variety of technologies, and providing input and guidance on architecture, security, and data standards. In this role, you will collaborate with customers to present and explain solutions, gather non-functional requirements, and operate with quality attributes while enforcing best practices and a culture of continuous improvement. You will also expand your knowledge and experience in SAP systems and beyond. responsibilities

Participate in large-scale SAP implementation projects
Design, evaluate, and document reliable and scalable integration solutions for SAP and non-SAP integration leveraging various technologies, including SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP, Kafka, and 3rd party application integration services and solutions
Provide input to architecture, security, and data standards, ensuring governance and compliance with these standards
Participate in pre-sales activities as a technical consultant in the integration area
Collaborate with customers to present and explain solutions, gather non-functional requirements, and operate with quality attributes
Estimate work efforts related to integration development and technical architecture components
Advise on SAP CIO Guides, Integration Solution Advisory Methodology, Application Extension Methodology, and RISE with SAP
Enforce best practices and a culture of continuous improvement on the project

requirements

7+ years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer
Has Project Management skills, and excellent soft skills. Must be able to deliver tactical and strategic vision
At least 2 years of relevant leadership experience (team up to 10 FTEs)Experience leading large-scale SAP implementation projects
Strong understanding of software architecture, particularly as it pertains to system integration
Experience designing system integration solutions in large, heterogeneous enterprise landscapes
Expertise in SAP integration tools and platforms, including SAP Integration Suite, Cloud Integration, Event Mesh, API Management, Open Connectors, and others
Proficiency in programming languages such as ABAP, Java, Groovy, and JavaScript (Node.js, TypeScript)
In-depth knowledge of SAP products and technologies, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP C/4HANA, SAP SCM, SAP GRC, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Ariba
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers
Fluent English language skills with an Upper-Intermediate level

Experience with EDA, SOA, messaging, and EIP software architecture patterns
Understanding of Cloud Computing concepts
Experience working with different APIs, data formats, protocols, and adapters, including SOAP/REST via HTTP/OData/AS2/SFTP/AMQP/MQTT
Experience with agile delivery methodologies
Experience with leadership and mentoring of junior team members
