Chief SAP Developer (ABAP)

We are seeking a remote Chief SAP ABAP Developer to lead our large-scale SAP implementation projects and design reliable integration solutions for SAP and non-SAP systems using various technologies.

In this role, you will participate in pre-sales activities as a technical consultant in the integration area and build trustworthy relationships with customers. Your expert knowledge of SAP systems and beyond will play a crucial role in ensuring governance and compliance with standards. responsibilities

Design, evaluate, and document reliable and scalable integration solutions for SAP and non-SAP integration leveraging various technologies (SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP, Kafka, 3rd party application integration services and solutions, etc.)
Provide input to architecture, security, and data standards, ensuring governance and compliance with these standards
Participate in pre-sales activities as a technical consultant in the integration area
Collaborate with customers to present and explain solutions, gather NFRs
Estimate work efforts related to integration development and technical architecture components
Advise on SAP CIO Guides (On-premises / Cloud / Hybrid), Integration Solution Advisory Methodology (ISA-M), Application Extension Methodology, RISE with SAP
Enforce best practices and continuous improvement culture on the project

requirements

Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP development with a focus on integration solutions
Expertise in SAP ABAP in S/4HANA and SAP Integration Suite
Strong command of SOAP, REST API, OData, AMQP, MQTT, and Apache Kafka
Experience designing system integration solutions in large heterogeneous enterprise landscapes
Proficiency in Java, Groovy, Node.js, and JavaScript (Node.js, TypeScript)
Excellent understanding of different integration styles and use-case patterns, and respective solutions from SAP Portfolio (and other vendors)
High-level understanding of several SAP products capabilities, functionality, and technologies: SAP S/4HANA (Finance, Logistics, Production), SAP C/4HANA (Commerce, Marketing, Sales), SAP SCM (TM, EWM, IBP), SAP GRC (AC, PC, RM), SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba
Decent understanding of agile delivery methodologies
Fluent English language skills with an Upper-Intermediate level
