Chief SAP Developer (ABAP)

We are seeking a highly skilled remote Chief SAP Developer (ABAP) to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for participating in large-scale SAP implementation projects, designing and evaluating reliable and scalable integration solutions for SAP and non-SAP integration leveraging various technologies, and providing input to architecture, security, and data standards. You will also participate in pre-sales activities as a technical consultant in the integration area, build trustworthy relationships with customers, and collaborate with customers to present and explain solutions, and gather NFRs. responsibilities

Design, evaluate, and document reliable and scalable integration solutions for SAP and non-SAP integration leveraging various technologies (SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP, Kafka, 3rd party application integration services and solutions, etc.)
Provide input to architecture, security, and data standards, ensuring governance and compliance with these standards
Participate in pre-sales activities as a technical consultant in the integration area
Collaborate with customers to present and explain solutions, gather NFRs
Estimate work efforts related to integration development and technical architecture components
Advise on SAP CIO Guides (On-premises / Cloud / Hybrid), Integration Solution Advisory Methodology (ISA-M), Application Extension Methodology, RISE with SAP
Enforce best practices and continuous improvement culture on the project
Expand your knowledge and experience in SAP systems and beyond

requirements

At least 7 years of experience in SAP ABAP development
Proven track record of leading and mentoring a team of engineers
Experience working on a large-scale SAP S/4 HANA implementation project
Expertise in designing system integration solutions in big heterogeneous enterprise landscapes
Understanding of different integration styles and use-case patterns, and respective solutions from SAP Portfolio (and other vendors)
Expertise in building solutions with SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, Event Mesh, API Management, Open Connectors, etc.)
Experience working with different APIs, Data formats, protocols, and adapters (SOAP/REST via HTTP/OData/AS2/SFTP/AMQP/MQTT, etc.)
Broad knowledge of different integration tools and platforms, ability to design solutions using various technologies
Competency in programming languages, such as ABAP, Java, Groovy, JavaScript (Node.js, TypeScript)
High-level understanding of several SAP products capabilities, functionality, and technologies: SAP S/4HANA (Finance, Logistics, Production), SAP C/4HANA (Commerce, Marketing, Sales), SAP SCM (TM, EWM, IBP), SAP GRC (AC, PC, RM), SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba
Understanding of SAP Integration Solution Advisory Methodology
Fluent English language skills with an upper-intermediate level
