Chief SAP Developer (ABAP)

We are seeking a skilled remote Chief SAP Developer (ABAP) with extensive experience in SAP ABAP, SAP Integration Suite, Java, Groovy, Node.js, and Apache Kafka to join our team.

As a Chief SAP Developer, you will participate in large-scale SAP implementation projects, design, evaluate, and document reliable and scalable integration solutions for SAP and non-SAP integration leveraging various technologies. You will provide input to architecture, security, and data standards, ensuring governance and compliance with these standards. If you have a deep understanding of different Integration Styles and Use-Case Patterns, and respective solutions from SAP Portfolio (and other vendors), we encourage you to apply.

responsibilities

Participate in large-scale SAP implementation projects
Design, evaluate, and document reliable and scalable integration solutions for SAP and non-SAP integration leveraging various technologies (SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP, Kafka, 3rd party application integration services and solutions, etc.)
Provide input to architecture, security, and data standards, ensuring governance and compliance with these standards
Participate in pre-sales activities as a technical consultant in the integration area
Collaborate with customers to present and explain solutions, gather NFRs
Estimate work efforts related to integration development and technical architecture components
Advise on SAP CIO Guides (On-premises / Cloud / Hybrid), Integration Solution Advisory Methodology (ISA-M), Application Extension Methodology, RISE with SAP
Enforce best practices and continuous improvement culture on the project
Expand your knowledge and experience in SAP systems and beyond

requirements

Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with at least 3 years of experience in S/4HANA
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience working with different APIs, data formats, protocols, and adapters (SOAP/REST via HTTP/OData/AS2/SFTP/AMQP/MQTT, etc.)
Expertise in building solutions with SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, Event Mesh, API Management, Open Connectors, etc.)
Competency in programming languages such as ABAP, Java, Groovy, JavaScript (Node.js, TypeScript)
High-level understanding of several SAP products capabilities, functionality, and technologies: SAP S/4HANA (Finance, Logistics, Production), SAP C/4HANA (Commerce, Marketing, Sales), SAP SCM (TM, EWM, IBP), SAP GRC (AC, PC, RM), SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba
Understanding of SAP Integration Solution Advisory Methodology
Fluent English language skills with an Upper-Intermediate level
