Cloud Systems Architect

We are looking for a remote Thai-speaking Cloud Systems Architect with a tech consulting mindset for a Thailand major Oil & Gas company!

The candidate with work on the Enterprise Data Management stream - to be a valuable part of the architecture practice of large enterprises.

This is a sort of consultative role for an individual with a broad tech outlook and diverse experience, as well as hands-on in DevOps and system engineering.

Note: the candidate should be able to work within the Bangkok time zone.

responsibilities
  • Design system architectures, diagrams, etc.
    • Ask questions, clarify opinions, deliver recommendations
      • Work closely with the PTTEP data management group
        • Identify gaps and pain points in their current setup
          • Provide customized and actionable recommendations
            • Provide feedback on current and planned integrations, between systems in light of data exchange
              • Design backup strategies as needed
                • Provide guidelines and vision for infrastructure reliability (approach, tooling, design process, etc.)
                  • Do PoCs and implementation
                    • Advise on other SRE-related topics as required
                      requirements
                      • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Systems / Data Infrastructure
                        • 2+ years of relevant leadership experience
                          • Fluent Thai language speaker
                            • Good architecting skills and an independent mind
                              • Ability to communicate his/her ideas in an inclusive manner
                                • Be able to do PoCs on his/her own
                                  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform suite of cloud services for app development (GKE, Cloud SQL)
                                    • Expertise in Google Cloud Platform services for data management (BigQuery, DataFlow, etc.)
                                      • Knowledge of Terraform, Gitlab, GitLab CI
                                        • Shall be able to start work no later than 11 am GMT+7 time zone. The client team is in Bangkok
