Lead Automation Tester
We are in search of a remote Lead Automation Tester to join our team, with expertise in automated testing in JavaScript. Working on a project that requires a deep understanding of automation testing framework layers, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of automation testing frameworks that will be used across the company. We are looking for someone with strong experience in Playwright, JavaScript, and web UI test automation tools in JS, and web service/API test automation. As a Lead Automation Tester, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and QA to ensure that automation tests are designed, developed, and executed effectively.
responsibilities
- Design and develop new automation tests and maintain existing automation testing frameworks
- Evaluate user stories to determine the best automation testing approach
- Participate in Scrum events such as grooming, planning, retros, and stand-ups
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, QA, and other team members to ensure automation tests are designed, developed, and executed effectively
- Analyze and report automation test results to ensure the quality of the product
- Write REST and PostgreSQL requests when necessary
- Refactor code to ensure maintainability and scalability of automation testing frameworks
- Support the TA team documentation
- Lead a team of testers
requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in automated testing in JavaScript, with a deep understanding of automation testing framework layers
- Experience in developing and maintaining automation testing frameworks for web UI and web service/API
- Expertise in Playwright, JavaScript, and web UI test automation tools in JS, and web service/API test automation
- Experience in Protractor, Jasmine, Cucumber, and BDD approach
- Understanding of REST Web services
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL and CI systems such as Jenkins
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment as part of an Agile team
- Proven leadership experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
