Lead DevOps Engineer for a Leading Company in the Builders' Merchant and Home Improvement Markets 40 hrs/week, 12+ months

Currently, we are looking for a remote Lead DevOps Engineer.

Our customer is a leading company in the builders’ merchant and home improvement markets and is a main supplier to the building and construction market, one of the largest industries in the UK.

The customer operates 17 businesses from more than 1,900 sites across the UK and Ireland.

Please note that even though you are applying for this position, you may be offered other projects to join within EPAM Anywhere.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of at least 3 System Engineers
    • Interact with the customer via email, calls, onsite meetings, etc.
      • Consult and assist in infrastructure overviews, cost estimations
        • Configure continuous integration & deployment for 20 Hybris sites
          • Using automation provision and configure infrastructure as code
            • Provide quality automated environments that are fit for purpose
              • Ensuring that any technical issues faced by your team are resolved
                • Ensuring that communication to stakeholders is clear

                  Requirements

                  • 4+ years in Release/Deployment/Application Engineering Experience
                    • 1+ year of team-leading experience
                      • Experience of using automation to build infrastructure
                        • Ansible / Terraform / AWS skills
                          • A good knowledge of how a pipeline works with continuous integration
                            • Great Linux administration skills
                              • Good knowledge of both infrastructure and developer practices
                                • The use of source control and merge requests
