Currently, we are looking for a Remote Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team.

The customer is a leading wholesale provider of reinsurance, insurance and other insurance-based forms of risk transfer. Dealing direct and working through brokers, its global client base consists of insurance companies, mid-to-large-sized corporations and public sector clients.

responsibilities
  • Create and maintain monitoring system (Application layer, Azure-based, OpsGenie-integration, including run-books for OPS Team)
    • Develop and support deployment process to AKS (Helm, Azure DevOps), including creating and maintaining. YAML pipelines for Java-based application (with automation of different kind of testing)
      • Work with dev team on product quality: find, investigate errors on different layers (infra, application etc), develop monitoring system in order to monitor application health (from business perspective), automate remediation actions
        • Work with different teams on system availability (DR planning, DR testing)
          • Work with different teams on new products/systems integration
            requirements
            • 5+ years of DevOps experience
              • Experience with Azure cloud and multiple Azure services is required, including but not limited to AKS, Virtual Machines, Resource Manager, Azure DevOps, Container Registry
                • Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm 
                  • Experience in building complex frameworks for infrastructure and application provisioning
                    • Experience with Azure Monitoring
                      • Working with distributed systems and with 24x7 Production Services/environments
                        • 1+ years of leadership experience
                          nice to have
                          • Nice to have Linux and Java troubleshooting skills
                            • Nice to have skills in Cloud Architecture and Operations including migration, resilience, maintainability, and cost-efficiency
                              • Nice to have CI/CD and SCM tools such as GIT, Maven, Sonar, Artifactory, Ansible will be a plus
