Lead DevOps Solution Architect for a Freight Exchange Company 40 hrs/week, 12+ months

We are currently looking for a remote Lead DevOps Solution Architect with strong background in designing and maintaining scalable enterprise systems deployed to AWS to join our team.

The customer is a freight exchange service ("load board") and provider of transportation information in North America.

Please note that even though you are applying for this position, you may be offered other projects to join within EPAM Anywhere.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor existing processes, infrastructure and services, analyze their effectiveness and create strategies to improve productivity and efficiency:
    • Carry out associated responsibilities for all services delivered by EPAM
    • Improve monitoring and telemetry (New Relic, Logz.io, Grafana, AWS)
  • Manage quality assurance programs:
    • Establish functional tests in production (e.g. New Relic Synthetics)
    • Design customer service policies, SLAs and OLAs related to the company's products and services
    • Manage product quality reports
    • Drive automated performance testing and reporting (Cucumber, TestCafe, WebDriver, ReportPortal)
  • Manage all technical and operational aspects in day-to-day delivery of products with full development life-cycle:
    • Drive improvements of operations and CI/CD (Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Flux)
    • Drive improvements of development, utilizing Atlassian stack (including Service Desk and Bitbucket), Stoplight, Mixpanel, Ambassador, Node.js, Koa, Angular
    • Manage AWS services, including EKS, MSK, Kinesis, Lambda, Elasticsearch, Aurora, DynamoDB, CloudFront, Snowflake Data Warehouse
  • Supervise and develop training programs for other team members

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of DevOps experience
      • Strong system administration background
        • Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and deep familiarity with its feature set
          • In-depth knowledge of configuration management systems (preferably Ansible)
            • Advanced CI/CD design skills
              • Familiarity with Docker containerization
                • Experience with Kubernetes
                  • Terraform skills
                    • Profound knowledge of AWS server-less stack
                      • Experience with logs and monitoring systems
                        • 1+ year of relevant leadership experience
