We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Lead GCP Developer to join our remote team.

With 5+ years of relevant work experience and at least 1+ years of leadership experience, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and maintenance of our cloud-based systems on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As the Lead GCP Developer, you will lead an international team, collaborate in both Agile and Non-Agile Team Models, and provide technical guidance to ensure the success of our projects. Excellent communication skills in English are essential, and German language proficiency is optional.

responsibilities
  • Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of cloud-based applications and microservices on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) within a container environment
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and project timelines
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables, and translate them into technical solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identify process gaps, and implement enhancements to optimize system performance and efficiency
  • Utilize your in-depth knowledge of ITIL processes and experience in working with large-scale agile setups based on SCRUM to guide and inspire the team
requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in GCP development or a related field
  • 1+ years of leadership experience, leading and mentoring a team of developers
  • Strong proficiency in cloud ecosystems running on Google Cloud
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes operations, particularly with GKE or similar technologies
  • Proven expertise in automated infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, TerraGrunt, Terraform Enterprise, and Ansible
  • Thorough understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices, specifically with GitHub and CI/CD pipeline patterns
  • Deep knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, OpsGenie, NewRelic, DataDog, Splunk, and Google Operations-Suite (Stackdriver)
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, including related tools such as TeamCity, BitBucket, Artifactory, SonarQube, Veracode, Crucible, JIRA, Confluence, and Service Now
  • Hands-on experience in analyzing log files and troubleshooting issues
  • Strong understanding of microservice architectures
  • B2+ English level
