Currently, we are looking for a remote Lead Java Developer to join our global team.

Our client is an international courier, package delivery and express mail service.

responsibilities
  • Implementation of new features and change requests (including tech design, approval with SA, communication with customer)
    • Bug fixing
      • Incident support (investigating issues that have high impact on operating of the application)
        • Application performance optimization
          • Resolution of application security issues identified by 3rd party vendors
            • Optimizing and improving the release and deployment processes
              • Improving application monitoring and resilience
                • Participating in code reviews, design reviews and contributing to the general shared ownership of codebase and its quality
                  requirements
                  • 5+ years of experience in Java Development (using Java8, Spring, Hibernate)
                    • 1+ year of leadership experience
                      • Solid SQL knowledge (indexes, views, query optimizations)
                        • Experience in Web application development
                          • Strong troubleshooting and debugging experience
                            • Experience using Agile Methodologies: SCRUM, Kanban
                              • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize work effectively
                                • Ability for writing clean code that is easy to understand
                                  • Expertise using OO and JEE design patterns
                                    • Customer first approach to software development
                                      • Team player
                                        • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills (ability to communicate effectively with technical staff, subject matter experts)
