Lead Java Developer

We are looking for a remote Lead Java Developer with expertise in NoSQL databases and ElasticSearch to join our team.

Working with our team, you will develop and maintain scalable, efficient solutions. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as data engineers, software developers, and infrastructure specialists, you will ensure smooth integration and optimal performance.

responsibilities

Create and sustain scalable, efficient solutions within the ET Data and Infrastructure Platform
Develop and apply custom abstractions tailored to the specific requirements of consumption systems
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software developers, and infrastructure specialists, guaranteeing smooth integration and ideal performance
Enhance data pipelines, infrastructure components, and data storage systems for improved efficiency and dependability
Conduct comprehensive testing and debugging of software components, ensuring high-quality results
Remain current with the newest technologies, trends, and best practices in data processing, NoSQL databases, and ElasticSearch
Engage in code reviews, offering valuable feedback and guidance to team members
Document technical details, processes, and procedures relating to the Data and Infrastructure Platform

requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
5+ years of relevant experience as a Java developer, with expertise in NoSQL databases and ElasticSearch
Proven track record of leading and mentoring a team of engineers
Strong proficiency in Java programming language and associated frameworks
Extensive knowledge of MongoDB, Cassandra, or Couchbase
Familiarity with ElasticSearch, including querying, indexing, and performance optimization
Experience with Spring Boot
Solid comprehension of distributed systems, data modeling, and data processing frameworks
Skilled in writing efficient, optimized code for large-scale data processing and storage
Knowledge of cloud platforms and technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is advantageous
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English at an Upper-Intermediate level
