Lead Ruby on Rails Developer
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Ruby Developer to join our team, working on an exciting project that aims to revolutionize the way people interact with technology. As a Lead Ruby Developer, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features and functionalities. responsibilities
- Lead the development team, providing technical guidance and support throughout the development process
- Collaborate with the product team to understand requirements and help shape the product roadmap
- Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code
- Ensure that development work is completed to the highest standards of quality and reliability
- Identify and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that all code is thoroughly tested before deployment
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Ruby development, Docker, and Cloud technologies
requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Ruby development, showcasing your expertise in the language and its associated frameworks (Rails, Sinatra, etc.)
- Experience with Docker and containerization technologies, enabling you to build and deploy applications in a containerized environment
- Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.), showcasing your ability to build and deploy applications in a Cloud environment
- Experience leading development teams, demonstrating your ability to mentor and guide junior developers, and ensure that development work is completed to the highest standards
- Excellent communication skills and a strong focus on teamwork, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, allowing you to identify and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
nice to have
- Experience working on caching technologies such as Varnish, Memcache
- Experience tuning and optimizing databases in cloud environments such as AWS RDS
- Experience establishing SLO and SLA for large scale applications
- Experience building disaster-recovery solutions for distributed systems in cloud environments
- Expertise working on micro-service architecture patterns
