SAP ABAP in S/4HANA, ABAP RESTful Programming Model (RAP), OData, SAP Fiori

Currently, we are looking for a remote Lead SAP ABAP Developer to join our team.

In this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient and responsive SAP ABAP programs, as well as performing system analysis and design activities. With 5+ years of relevant production experience and 1+ years of leadership experience, you will provide technical leadership to a remote team of SAP ABAP developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.

  • Lead a remote team of SAP ABAP developers in developing and implementing quality SAP ABAP programs in compliance with coding standards and guidelines
  • Perform detailed analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation of complex SAP ABAP programs, reports, forms, and interfaces
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts and other cross-functional teams to understand and interpret business requirements, providing technical solutions that meet these requirements in a timely and efficient manner
  • Oversee system modifications and enhancements requested by the business, ensuring their successful implementation
  • Identify and troubleshoot system defects and errors, providing timely resolutions and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Conduct design and code reviews, offering constructive feedback to team members to improve code quality and maintain best practices
  • Minimum of 5 years of SAP ABAP development experience with knowledge of S/4HANA
  • Proven leadership experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
  • Experience with ABAP RESTful Programming Model (RAP) and OData is a must
  • Experience with ABAP and Fiori is an added advantage
  • B2+ level English proficiency is required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development

  • Knowledge of SAP modules such as SD, MM, FI, or HR
  • Experience with SAP UI5 and SAP HANA
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
  • Understanding of SAP security concepts and best practices
