Lead SAP Basis and DevOps Engineer
As a Lead SAP Basis and DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance in SAP BASIS maintenance and monitoring, change request and transport management, as well as incidents and service requests management. With a minimum of 5 years of relevant production experience, including 1+ years of leadership experience, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our remote team and leading them to achieve excellence.

- Provide technical leadership and oversee SAP BASIS maintenance and monitoring activities
- Lead and guide change request and transport management processes
- Manage and resolve incidents and service requests effectively
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and system performance
- Stay updated with the latest SAP BASIS and DevOps technologies and best practices
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their technical skills and professional growth
requirements
- 5+ years of relevant production experience in SAP BASIS and DevOps roles
- Proven leadership experience, with at least 1 year of leading a team or project
- Extensive technical expertise in SAP BASIS, including NW as ABAP (S4HANA Platform) and NW as JAVA, Webdisp, and Content Servers
- Strong proficiency in administering and maintaining SAP HANA and SAP ASE databases, encompassing backup and restore, index and partitioning management, and DB parameter administration and tuning
- In-depth knowledge of SAP Solution Manager (CHARM, System monitoring, EWA)
- Expertise in Linux-based OS management, preferably SLES, including administration, OS updates and security patches implementation, and backup and restore
- Advanced skills in performance analysis of ABAP, JAVA, HANA, and ASE DB
- Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure, such as EC2, Route53, S3, Lambda, System Manager, and CloudWatch
nice to have
- Knowledge in GRC, ACP, SLT, BW4HANA, S4HANA, and OpenText
- Familiarity with third-party backup tools like Commvault
- Understanding of Single Sign-On protocols, including Kerberos, X509, SAML, and oAuth (Okta, SLS)
- Proficiency in network and firewall concepts, along with troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with SAP BTP, Data Intelligence, and SAP Analytics Cloud
