Middle Cloud Engineer for Software Company
Currently, we are looking for a remote Middle Cloud Engineer to join our team.
As a member of the EPAM Hybrid Cloud Support - L2 team, you will be at the forefront of Cloud technologies with interactions with the full breadth of EPAM Hybrid cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP). Our team supports three cloud organizations and each of them includes more than 600 subscriptions. You will be surrounded by people that are wickedly smart, passionate about cloud computing, and believe that internal support is critical to EPAM success.
responsibilities
- Maintenance and support of core EPAM Cloud services
- Complete training and successfully pass the Amazon Web Services exams
- Manage EPAM AWS Organization (300 projects) according to EPAM Cloud Security Policy
- Implementation of new services and best practices in AWS
- Perform service requests of Amazon Web Services and automate routine tasks
- Build effective tools for internal needs: monitoring, utilization and cost optimization
- Cooperation with EPAM Network and Security teams
- Creating working instructions and assist Cloud Support L1 team
requirements
- 2+ years of practical experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS). Account Management best practices, knowledge of cost optimization, and security
- Scripting experience, preferably with a diversity of languages (Bash, PS, Python, Ruby)
- 2+ year of experience at administration (Networking and Troubleshooting)
- Infrastructure as a code and at least one of Configuration management tools (Terraform, AWS Config/CloudFormation, Ansible etc.) knowledge
nice to have
- Practical experience in the Amazon Web Services cloud environment for at least 2 years
- It is desirable to have knowledge of cloud delivery, security, and deployment models for Amazon Web Services
- Knowledge of one of the programming languages like Python, Go, or Ruby
- It is desirable to have a working knowledge of cloud standards
- ITIL Service Operation and basic concepts
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, including the ability to articulate complex issues and incorporate feedback
- Good team player, strong stakeholder management, relationship building, influencing, facilitating, and presenting skills
- Ability to express views clearly and fluently, both orally and in writing
- Considers the audience, avoiding technical jargon wherever necessary and appropriate
- Taking accountability for their actions and being open and honest when things have gone wrong and celebrating successes when things have gone well
- Being rigorous and thorough – especially when logging and tracking issues through to conclusion
- Ability to manage their workload to meet the realistic targets and priorities set in conjunction with management
- Demonstrating a high level of commitment and self-motivation, combined with enthusiasm and a genuine interest in the role of Risk Assessment in business
