Middle Data Engineer for a Retail Company

We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced remote Middle Data Engineer to become a part of the global team.

responsibilities
  • Design, develop, monitor and operate data pipelines for Corporate Governance and P&O initiative
    • Integrate datasets for analytical use-cases
      • Testing (preparation and execution)
        • Maintenance of existing data pipelines incl. alerting, bug fixing, etc.
          requirements
          • 3+ years of experience with Data Engineering
            • 3+ years hands-on experience in Databricks or similar ETL Tools
              • Solid experience with Apache Spark, PySpark and Python
                • Extensive experience with AWS Glue and Amazon S3
                  • Knowledge of GitHub and CI/CD
                    • Knowledge of MicroStrategy or similar analytical tool
                      • Ability to communicate fluently with english speaking stakeholders and the ability to share ideas and provide reasoning
                        • B2+ English level
                          nice to have
                          • Experience with Advanced Databricks skills like delta, cluster configuration or mlflow
                            • Experience with integrating sources like Websites, Exasol, REST APIs, SAP, BigQuery, GSheets, Salesforce, Jedox and more
                              • Knowledge of Data Quality
                                • Knowledge of Apache NiFi
                                  • Familiarity with Java
