Middle Java Developer
We are seeking a skilled Middle Java Developer to join our remote team, working with a leading sports betting company. As a Middle Java Developer, you will work with one of the development teams, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver various elements of the system. You will be responsible for driving feature implementation in accordance with business requirements, architecture guidelines, ensuring high-quality code and user experiences.
responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Owner, Architect, and the team to make requirements clear and ready to implement
- Drive features implementation in accordance with business functional and non-functional requirements, architecture guidelines, and engX principals
- Take an active part in the code review process as a reviewer and reviewee
- Collaborate with Quality Engineer in testing of your implementation and re-work in case defects were found
- Identify risks and issues and share problems with your team or report to your TL
- Identify and suggest to the team improvements that can be made in the tech design/code, team processes, or any aspect that relates to your teamwork and environment
- Share your knowledge with other team members and learn from others
requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Java development, showcasing your proficiency in Java 11+ and Spring Boot Microservices
- In-depth knowledge of AWS, ReactJS, SQL, REST, and other relevant technologies
- Experience working in Agile teams and following SDLC processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and suggest improvements to tech design/code, team processes, and other aspects related to your work environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to share knowledge with other team members and learn from others
- Strong focus on teamwork and exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage stress effectively
- Fluent spoken and written English at an upper-intermediate level or higher
nice to have
- Experience working with Kubernetes, MySQL/Redis, Kafka, and monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Instana, and CloudWatch
- Experience with legacy systems updated to Java 8
