Project Manager
We are currently looking for an experienced remote Project Manager to lead the Lift&Shift migration of the on-prem systems to the Google Cloud Platform. This migration will enable cost optimization, improve availability and reliability, and provide further analytics and improved TTM.
The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud migration, and data migration, and the ability to balance lift and shift goals with architectural improvements.
responsibilities
- Collaborate and partner with business units, clients, development teams, and platform teams to migrate ecosystems to the Google Cloud Platform
- Balance lift and shift goals with architectural improvements, with a focus on security, reliability, and maintainability
- Work closely with clients and business unit managers to identify and agree on the scope and goals of the migration
- Work jointly with developers and designers to prioritize, plan and execute the migration
- Create timelines, manage scope creep, and eliminate blockers
- Facilitate meetings and discussions with teams and partners to align with enterprise standards and best practices
- Provide transparency via governance reporting, artifact management, and recurring reviews.
- Continuously improve the process of migrations by sharing knowledge with the DM community and updating Confluence space
requirements
- 3+ years of cloud experience, with a focus on data migration in the cloud or lift&shift migration
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Acceptable experience in working on cloud projects, executive report-outs on project status, cross-functional comms across different groups/organizations, stakeholder management, cloud architecture articulation, data-center migration, cloud transformation/migration, and proactive risk mitigation
- Experience in Business Analysis Planning and Monitoring
- Strong communication skills in English (B2+)
