SAP ABAP Development Team Lead
As a remote SAP ABAP Development Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating a remote team of SAP ABAP developers.
With 6+ years of relevant production experience and 2+ years of leadership experience, you will be responsible for guiding the team in developing efficient and high-quality SAP ABAP programs, while ensuring the successful delivery of technical solutions that meet business requirements.
responsibilities
- Lead a remote team of SAP ABAP developers in developing and implementing quality SAP ABAP programs in compliance with coding standards and guidelines
- Perform detailed analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation of complex SAP ABAP programs, reports, forms, and interfaces
- Collaborate closely with business analysts to understand and interpret business requirements, providing technical solutions that align with these requirements
- Oversee system modifications and enhancements requested by the business, ensuring their successful implementation
- Identify and troubleshoot system defects and errors, providing timely resolutions to minimize business disruption
- Conduct design and code reviews, offering constructive feedback to team members to improve code quality and maintain best practices
- Coordinate and prioritize development tasks, ensuring the timely completion of projects and deliverables
requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of SAP ABAP development experience with knowledge of S/4HANA
- Proven leadership experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
- Experience with ABAP RESTful Programming Model (RAP) and OData is a must
- Experience with ABAP and Fiori is an added advantage
- B2+ level English proficiency is required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficient in SAP ABAP development tools and methodologies
- Familiarity with SAP modules such as SD, MM, FI, or HR
- Experience with SAP UI5 and SAP HANA
- Understanding of SAP security concepts and best practices
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools

- Experience in leading or mentoring junior developers
- Knowledge of SAP integration technologies and tools
- Experience with SAP Cloud Platform and SAP Fiori Elements
- Understanding of performance optimization techniques for SAP ABAP programs
- Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager and transport management processes
- Exposure to SAP implementation projects and full lifecycle development
- Certification in SAP ABAP development
