We are looking for a remote SAP ABAP Software Architect to join our team for a large-scale SAP implementation project.

As part of the team, you will design, evaluate, and document reliable and scalable integration solutions for SAP and non-SAP integration leveraging various technologies such as SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP, Kafka, and 3rd party application integration services and solutions. You will enforce best practices and a continuous improvement culture on the project, expanding your knowledge and experience in SAP systems and beyond.

responsibilities

Participate in large-scale SAP implementation projects
Design, evaluate, and document reliable and scalable integration solutions for SAP and non-SAP integration leveraging various technologies (SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP, Kafka, 3rd party application integration services and solutions, etc.)
Provide input to architecture, security, and data standards, ensuring governance and compliance with these standards
Participate in pre-sales activities as a technical consultant in the integration area
Collaborate with customers to present and explain solutions, gather NFRs
Operate with non-functional requirements and quality attributes
Estimate work efforts related to integration development and technical architecture components
Advise on SAP CIO Guides (On-premises, Cloud / Hybrid), Integration Solution Advisory Methodology (ISA-M), Application Extension Methodology, RISE with SAP
Enforce best practices and continuous improvement culture on the project
Expand your knowledge and experience in SAP systems and beyond

requirements

A minimum of 7 years of experience working on a large-scale SAP S/4 HANA implementation project
Proven track record in managing engagements for teams of 5+ FTEs
Experience in at least 2 projects is required
Expertise in SAP ABAP in S/4HANA, SOAP, REST API, OData, AMQP, MQTT, SAP Integration Suite, Java, Groovy, Node.js, and Apache Kafka
Ability to design system integration solutions in big heterogeneous enterprise landscapes
Solid understanding of software architecture, especially the one connected with system integration (EDA, SOA, messaging, EIP, etc.)
Broad knowledge of different integration tools and platforms, the ability to design solutions using various technologies
Competency in a programming language (-s): ABAP, Java, Groovy, JavaScript (Node.js, TypeScript)
High-level understanding of several SAP products capabilities, functionality, and technologies: SAP S/4HANA (Finance, Logistics, Production), SAP C/4HANA (Commerce, Marketing, Sales), SAP SCM (TM, EWM, IBP), SAP GRC (AC, PC, RM), SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba
Excellent communication and leadership skills, readiness to communicate with customers
Fluent English language skills with an upper-intermediate level

Understanding of Cloud Computing concepts
A decent understanding of agile delivery methodologies
Experience working with different APIs, Data formats, protocols, and adapters (SOAP/REST via HTTP/OData/AS2/SFTP/AMQP/MQTT, etc.)
Expertise in building solutions with SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, Event Mesh, API Management, Open Connectors, etc.)
Understanding of SAP Integration Solution Advisory Methodology
