SAP ABAP Software Architect

We are seeking a highly qualified remote SAP ABAP Software Architect to join our team for a large-scale SAP implementation project.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, evaluating, and documenting reliable and scalable integration solutions for SAP and non-SAP integration using various technologies, including SAP Integration Suite, Kafka, and 3rd party application integration services and solutions. You will also be responsible for advising on SAP CIO Guides and enforcing best practices and a continuous improvement culture on the project.

responsibilities

Design, evaluate, and document reliable and scalable integration solutions for SAP and non-SAP integration leveraging various technologies
Provide input to architecture, security, and data standards, ensuring governance and compliance with these standards
Participate in pre-sales activities as a technical consultant in the integration area
Estimate work efforts related to integration development and technical architecture components
Advise on SAP CIO Guides (On-premises / Cloud / Hybrid), Integration Solution Advisory Methodology (ISA-M), Application Extension Methodology, RISE with SAP
Enforce best practices and continuous improvement culture on the project

requirements

Minimum of 7 years of practical hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development
At least 2 projects in a technical team lead role with constant hands-on work during the last 3 years
At least 1 year of experience working as an Integration Solution Architect in a large-scale SAP S/4 HANA implementation project
Experience designing system integration solutions in big heterogeneous enterprise landscapes
Expertise in building solutions with SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, Event Mesh, API Management, Open Connectors, etc.)
Good foundation in Software Architecture, especially the one connected with system integration (EDA, SOA, messaging, EIP, etc.)
Competency in a programming language(-s): ABAP, Java, Groovy, JavaScript (Node.js, TypeScript)
Understanding of different Integration Styles and Use-Case Patterns, and respective solutions from SAP Portfolio (and other vendors)
Broad knowledge of different integration tools and platforms, ability to design solutions using various technologies
Excellent communication and leadership skills, readiness to communicate with customers
Fluent English language skills with an Upper-Intermediate level

nice to have

Experience working with different APIs, Data formats, protocols, and adapters (SOAP/REST via HTTP/OData/AS2/SFTP/AMQP/MQTT, etc.)
High-level understanding of several SAP products capabilities, functionality, and technologies: SAP S/4HANA (Finance, Logistics, Production), SAP C/4HANA (Commerce, Marketing, Sales), SAP SCM (TM, EWM, IBP), SAP GRC (AC, PC, RM), SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba
Understanding of SAP Integration Solution Advisory Methodology
A decent understanding of agile delivery methodologies
