We are seeking a remote SAP ABAP Solution Architect to join our team for a large-scale SAP implementation project.

As a Solution Architect, you will design, evaluate, and document reliable and scalable integration solutions for SAP and non-SAP integration leveraging various technologies such as SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP, Kafka, 3rd party application integration services and solutions, etc. You will also provide input to architecture, security, and data standards, ensuring governance and compliance with these standards. Additionally, you will participate in pre-sales activities as a technical consultant in the integration area, estimate work efforts related to integration development and technical architecture components, and advise on SAP CIO Guides, Integration Solution Advisory Methodology, Application Extension Methodology, and RISE with SAP.

responsibilities

Participate in large-scale SAP implementation projects as a Solution Architect
Design, evaluate, and document reliable and scalable integration solutions for SAP and non-SAP integration leveraging various technologies (SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP, Kafka, 3rd party application integration services and solutions, etc.)
Provide input to architecture, security, and data standards, ensuring governance and compliance with these standards
Participate in pre-sales activities as a technical consultant in the integration area
Collaborate with customers to present and explain solutions, gather NFRs
Operate with non-functional requirements and quality attributes
Estimate work efforts related to integration development and technical architecture components
Advise on SAP CIO Guides (On-premises / Cloud / Hybrid), Integration Solution Advisory Methodology (ISA-M), Application Extension Methodology, RISE with SAP
Enforce best practices and continuous improvement culture on the project
Expand your knowledge and experience in SAP systems and beyond

requirements

Minimum of 7 years of practical hands-on experience in SAP development
At least 2 projects in a technical team lead role with constant hands-on work during the last 3 years
At least 1 year of experience working as an Integration Solution Architect
Experience working on a large-scale SAP S/4 HANA implementation project
In-depth understanding of different Integration Styles and Use-Case Patterns, and respective solutions from SAP Portfolio (and other vendors)
Experience designing system integration solutions in big heterogeneous enterprise landscapes
A good foundation in Software Architecture, especially the one connected with system integration (EDA, SOA, messaging, EIP, etc.)
Expertise in building solutions with SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, Event Mesh, API Management, Open Connectors, etc.)
Competency in a programming language(-s): ABAP, Java, Groovy, JavaScript (Node.js, TypeScript)
High-level understanding of several SAP products capabilities, functionality, and technologies: SAP S/4HANA (Finance, Logistics, Production), SAP C/4HANA (Commerce, Marketing, Sales), SAP SCM (TM, EWM, IBP), SAP GRC (AC, PC, RM), SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba
Understanding of SAP Integration Solution Advisory Methodology
A decent understanding of agile delivery methodologies
Excellent communication and leadership skills, readiness to communicate with customers
Fluent English language skills with a minimum upper-intermediate level

Experience working with different APIs, Data formats, protocols, and adapters (SOAP/REST via HTTP/OData/AS2/SFTP/AMQP/MQTT, etc.)
