We are seeking a highly skilled remote Senior Automation Tester in Java to join our team.
You will be responsible for executing our Quality Engineering strategy and creating and running our world-class test automation system written in Java. As a Senior Automation Tester in Java, you should be able to work independently, produce fault-tolerant, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code, and have a demonstrated ability to select methods and techniques to obtain solutions and produce test plans largely intended for automation.
responsibilities
- Work in a highly agile, engaged, and motivated software engineering team
- Leverage tools, technologies, and processes for Test Automation at all levels
- Liaise with developers to deliver outstanding product quality
- Handle queries and escalations from internal partners and customers
- Explore product quality issues and triage automated test runs
requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- 3+ years of production experience in Automated Testing in Java
- Strong understanding of Test Automation (e.g. Unit Testing, Selenium, Web Services Testing, GUI Testing); experience with testing client applications is highly desirable
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English (B2+)
nice to have
- Knowledge of Cucumber, Apache Maven, JUnit, Docker
- Experience with distributed systems and Authentication protocols
- Familiarity with cloud services (preferably AWS - EC2, container services, Elasticsearch)
- Experience with version control, build, and bug tracking systems such as TeamCity, Jenkins, BitBucket, and Jira
