Senior Data Engineer for an Advertising Company
We are currently looking for a remote Senior Data Engineer to become a part of our team.
The customer is a marketing and advertising company. It provides digital marketing, experience development and organizational transformation services.
responsibilities
- Serve as a key knowledge holder about Data Platform solutions, including ETL support and market specific cases
- Together with PM/Scrum Master plan and control releases including estimation and risk management
- Plan and coordinate BI team work including tasks assignment
- Perform code reviews and maintain high code quality
- Together with DevOps maintain build pipelines
- Support and optimize existing process
- Help other engineers with difficulties such as troubleshoot and debugging defects
- Communicate daily withing the whole Team (QAs, Developers, Data engineers, etc.) and with client's engineers and managers
- Help client's managers and architect to manage technical debt
- Be responsible for set of markets
- Requirement analysis and proactive clarification
- Analyze change requests, new features, and PROD defects
- Produce efficient changes in ETL including ADF, SQL scripts, DB Structure, etc.
- Initial testing and deploying changes
- Troubleshoot and debug issues and PROD defects, conduct documentation
requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Data Engineering
- Strong skills in MS SQL and T-SQL to maintain current schemas
- Experience in ETL/DWH development using Azure Analysis Services including Azure Data Factory and Tabular Cube
- Experience in adding new data sources and types of data
- Experience in ETL/DWH/ADF optimization
- Experience in Production support L3
- Solid understanding of CI/CD process and branching/deployment strategy
- Good communications skills in English to actively participate in team meetings with stakeholders and accurate and clear email correspondence for supported users

- Experience in working with similar Data Platform (set of cross-market BI data analytical applications and tools)
- Experience with proposals of new BI solutions and technical improvements
- Experience in using Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks
