Senior DevOps Engineer for a Consulting Company
Currently, we are looking for a remote Senior DevOps Engineer to join the global team.
The customer is a global environmental, health, and safety consulting firm, providing EHS regulatory compliance assurance support to businesses worldwide.
responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems
- Translate architectural requirements in cloud based solution
- Monitoring and managing distributed container-based platform
- System configuration as code (infrastructure as code)
- Support of pre-production and production service applications at scale
- Some on call required
requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
- Relevant experience as a systems administrator in a systems operations role
- Ability to work with virtualization technology
- Experience in monitoring and auditing systems
- Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP, and firewalls)
- Know-how to implement and control the flow of data, to and from a service provider
- Capability to select the appropriate services based on compute, data, or security requirements
- Ability to estimate usage costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms
- Capability to migrate on-premises workload to service providers
- Azure and/or Amazon Cloud Services knowledge (any cloud)
- Cloud Configuration/Orchestration tools (such as Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Knowledge of Kubernetes & Docker
- Experience with monitoring and visualization tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Familiarity with Scripting Languages (Windows Powershell, Shell scripts, etc.)
- Familiarity with Virtualization (VMware and/or hyper-V)
- Familiar with Windows based (automatic) in-house application/service deployment on the cloud
- Fluency in English is a must
- Capable to work in group or individually and manage/plan tasks using JIRA

- Experience with Atlassian Suite, Artifactory, and Jenkins
- Working knowledge of agile/scrum processes
- Understanding of information security concepts and best practices
- Working knowledge of ITIL service management best practices
