Senior DevOps Engineer for a Software Company
We are currently looking for a remote Senior DevOps Engineer to become a part of our team.
The customer is a digital software company that enables many of the world’s leading insurers to innovate and operate like a tech company: fast, simple, agile.
responsibilities
- Maintenance of applications deployed to the Cloud (Private Cloud, AWS, Azure)
- Dockerize applications and implement automated CICD process using Jenkins
- Improve and manage software assembly process by following best practice of configuration management
- Propose DevOps process improvements for product development team, impact development process
- Provide support for developers, testers by analyzing operation processes and resolving issues
- Support R&D - release , build, deploy, maintain processes
- Support Delivery – maintain CI at client's site
- Security updates of base images, write pipelines for exact project exact component.
- Write Groovy scripts for Jenkins pipelines
requirements
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering
- Windows, Linux operation system knowledge
- Writing Jenkins pipelines using Groovy
- Familiarity with SCM, such as GIT
- Experience with building, maintaining and execution of Docker images
- Familiar with working with Kubernetes
- Knowledge of SQL databases: MSSQL, Postgres
- Understanding of monitoring tools, ELK stack
- Strong ability to work across functional teams, including developers, testers and business teams
- Attention to detail and relentlessly pursuing excellence in producing quality deliverables
nice to have
- Experience with building Java projects using Maven
- Experience with Ansible/Puppet/Chef
- NoSQL databases
- Experience with Helm
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience with security scan (OWASP/Anchore) and code quality (Sonar) tools
- Experience with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure will be considered as plus
