Senior DevOps Engineer for Energy Company
Currently, we are looking for a remote Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team.
The customer is a British-Dutch multinational oil and gas company headquartered in the Netherlands and incorporated in England. It is one of the oil and gas "supermajors" and the third-largest company in the world measured by 2018 revenues.
responsibilities
- Working with product teams to shape the architecture and implementations of new and existing systems to enhance their reliability, performance, efficiency, and scalability
- Helping product teams to develop and deploying on a Cloud environment
- Ensuring all key services are measured, monitored and raising alerts when needed
- Developing automation of application deployment and configuration
- Developing reliability tools and frameworks for use by all engineers and products
- Coaching and training developers on DevOps best practices
- Researching, developing, configuring and implementing tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Driving efficiencies in products and processes: capacity planning, configuration management, performance tuning, monitoring, backup/restore and root cause analysis
requirements
- 3+ years as a DevOps Engineer experience
- 2+ years of experience in a System Administrator role with Infrastructure projects
- Good knowledge of Cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Infrastructure as a Code, preferably Terraform
- Microservices and container-based stacks like Docker & Kubernetes
- Experience with scripting with Python, Bash, etc.
- Good understanding of Security and Security practices
- Experience with Configuration Management technologies preferably Ansible
- Experience with monitoring solutions like Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Nagios and the ELK stack
- English level B2+
