Senior DevOps Engineer for Information and Analytics Services Company 40 hrs/week, 12+ months

Currently we are looking for a remote Senior DevOps Engineer.

Our customer provides property information, analytics, and data-enabled services in North America, Western Europe, and the Asia Pacific. The company provides its services to mortgage lenders, brokers, credit unions, commercial banks, investment banks, fixed-income investors, real estate agents, MLS companies, property and casualty insurance companies, government agencies, and government-sponsored enterprises.   

The company is opening new projects to re-platform legacy applications on a Pivotal Cloud Foundry platform). The teams will work in a highly Agile environment, following XP practices, 12-factors app guidelines, best CI/CD practices, etc. On this position, you will be a core contributor to the development of new products and maintenance of existing products.

Responsibilities

  • Identify architecture's key components and efficiently translate it into a secure systems architecture, either with classic virtualization, cloud provider or container orchestrator
    • Implement infrastructure-as-code principles on at least one of the major IaaS providers
      • Provide support for a development team from Ops perspective
        • Configure Secure Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines
          • Configure new and already existing environments
            • Configure management and automation of systems maintenance
              • Participate in discussions, influence outcomes, make recommendations on feasibility, processes and architecture
                • Devise/modify procedures to solve problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and desired results
                  • Consult with users and develop business relationships and integrate activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation
                    • Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions
                      • Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels

                        Requirements

                        • 3+ years` experience in systems engineering
                          • Experience in monitoring: basic knowledge in ELK and PagerDuty
                            • Proficiency in Kafka
                              • Expertise in Linux
                                • Experience in working with scripting languages: Bash or Python
                                  • Expertise in Jenkins pipelines
                                    • Familiarity with Packer, Docker, and PCF would be a plus
                                      • Understanding of Terraform would be a plus
                                        • Intermediate or higher English level, both written and spoken (B1+)
