Developing testing strategy and test cases as part of a product development team

Creating test suites for testing of new functionality and regression of existing functions

Manual testing of new backend functionality and regression of existing functions as required to assure quality of the sprint/release deliverables

Log and take ownership of defects of defects found

3+ years of experience in Functional Tester

Experience in testing online services / Internet-based systems

Experience in backend testing and backend integration testing

Good working knowledge of Database technologies and SQL

Good knowledge of XML

Knowledge of Unix is advantage

Experience diagnosing, reporting, tracking and resolving quality issues

Familiarity with QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, test design, planning and execution.

Experience with Agile development methodology

Ability to work with a remote team

Ability to communicate clearly in writing, by phone, and in person with other teams

Ability to help launch new projects and follow through to completion

Attention to detail

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Alternatively, equivalent work experience

ISTQB Certification is advantage

Experience developing and executing automated test suites with TestNG
