Senior Java Developer
We're looking for a remote Senior Java Developer to join our team and help us build innovative web-based applications. As a Senior Java Developer, you will work with a team of developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions. Your ability to rapidly self-train on new technologies, work collaboratively with team members in different time zones, and automate repetitive tasks will be essential to your success in this role.
responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and methodologies
- Ensure software quality by writing automated tests and participating in testing efforts
- Provide support to other team members and stakeholders as necessary
requirements
- At least 4 years of work experience in developing and designing software
- Strong programming fundamentals with expertise in Java Core and Java 8
- Experience with Spring Boot
- Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Ecosystem
- Experience with REST, SQL, and NoSQL
- Familiarity with front-end technologies, preferably ReactJS
- Knowledge of web-based applications and architecture
- Knowledge of Unit testing principles and methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to see patterns in work and come up with engineering solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at an Upper-Intermediate level
nice to have
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
- Experience with incident management
- Knowledge of other front-end technologies such as Angular or Vue.js
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra
