We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced remote Senior Java Developer with expertise in AWS who can design, build, and evolve our core backend platform for our project in a scalable, reliable, and highly efficient way.
As a Senior Java Developer, you will take ownership of the problem domain, facilitate the design, development, and launch of key microservices in the domain, and work cross-functionally with various engineering and product teams to deliver features that span across domains.
You will demonstrate a passion for solving problems, learning new tools and technologies, deep architecture and API design skills, and excellent communication skills.
responsibilities
- Design, build and evolve the core backend platform of TripActions in a scalable and reliable way
- Technically own the problem domain: facilitate design, development, and launch of key microservices in the domain
- Work with the leadership to identify, plan and execute long-term vision
- Work cross-functionally with various engineering and product teams to deliver features that span across domains
- Be the Subject Matter Expert of the domain under ownership
requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience building products using Java and CS fundamentals
- Strong programming skills with Java and proficiency in the Java Cloud Stack
- Experience with AWS, Kafka, and REST API to build core services and new product features
- Deep architecture and API design skills and a good understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders and domain experts across the company to design solutions to user problems
- B2+ English level
