We are seeking a Senior Accessibility Consultant to join our remote team, with a primary focus on Accessibility Testing. Your role will involve creating and improving products to offer world-class services compliant with accessibility standards and best practices. You must have a solid and clear understanding of accessibility based on world standards and best practices. Your duties also include collaborating closely with stakeholders, conducting workshops, presenting, explaining, and advocating accessibility-based decisions, and participating in brainstorming and other idea-generating team sessions. If you have at least three years of experience in Accessibility Consulting and can work independently and as part of a team, we would like to hear from you!
responsibilities
- Ensure our products and services are compliant with accessibility standards and best practices
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to plan, implement, and manage accessibility testing on all digital platforms
- Conduct accessibility workshops and training sessions for teams and stakeholders
- Provide consultancy services on accessibility issues to internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare clear and concise accessibility reports and presentations for project stakeholders
- Participate in brainstorming and other idea-generating team sessions to identify innovative solutions to accessibility challenges
- Stay up-to-date with the latest accessibility trends, tools, and technologies, and share knowledge with the team
requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accessibility Consulting and Testing
- Expertise in A11y Compliance Report/VPAT Compilation and Accessibility Standards knowledge and understanding
- Experience in A11y testing Approaches and processes, Accessibility Specification development, and Using A11y Evaluation Tools
- Ability to consult and guide the team through A11y in SDLC and WAI-ARIA as a part of A11y review
- Experience in using screen readers and other assistive technologies
- Demonstrated ability to deliver accessibility testing results in a timely and efficient manner, with a sharp eye for detail
- Excellent communication and consultancy skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and clients
- Proficient in English language, with at least an Upper-Intermediate level competency

- Experience with accessibility processing of documents
- Experience with accessibility in HTML/CSS
