Chief Cloud Engineer
We are actively looking for a Chief Cloud Engineer with proficiency in Terraform to become part of our remote workforce. In this pivotal role, you will be working with our client's Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), playing a crucial part in its upkeep and advancement. responsibilities
- Establish the necessary structures and configurations to ensure the execution of the governance model defined by the client's cloud team
- Design, set up, and validate the OCI infrastructure for services that are common across all OCI-deployed workloads
- Implement and manage services used by Fusion SaaS applications and HCM SaaS application
- Assist in the transition process of the existing services utilized by the Fusion SaaS applications and integrations
- Showcase expertise in cloud architecture patterns and best practices in cloud computing
requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in the role of a Cloud Engineer
- At least 2 years spent in a leadership role managing technical teams
- Proven track record of leading and executing at least 2 end-to-end projects or involvement in multiple projects at various lifecycle stages
- Proficiency in managing compartments, user groups, and implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Expertise in handling availability domains, Virtual Cloud Network (VCN), subnets, route table, and VCN peering
- Skilled in managing internet gateway, Service Gateway, NAT Gateway, Dynamic Routing Gateway (DRG), and load balancer
- Experience with bastion, object storage, and service hub connector
- Knowledge of DNS forwarders
- Experience with Database Cloud Service (DBCS) and backup configuration
- Skilled in managing virtual machines (VMs), implementing autoscaling, and managing instance pool
- Experience with OCI logging analytics and monitoring
- Ability to write maintainable Terraform code, organized in modules, to deploy shared and workload-specific services and infrastructures
- Familiarity with systems and application configuration, logging, and monitoring
- Some exposure to Informatica and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) platforms and understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts
- Proficiency in English language (C1+ level)

- Experience with other cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes
- Certification in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or other cloud technologies
