Chief Developer with SAP ABAP expertise
We're on the hunt for a highly skilled Chief SAP ABAP Developer to join our remote development team and take the lead in crafting cutting-edge solutions for our valued clientele.
As a vital team member, your responsibilities include close collaboration with stakeholders to understand their requirements, active participation in pre-sales initiatives, and the championing of innovative solution concepts. Your profound expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP S/4HANA is pivotal in guiding the development of new functionalities and services, as well as in formulating and executing seamlessly integrated, end-to-end solutions.
responsibilities
- Establish robust partnerships with stakeholders to comprehend their needs and aid in devising effective problem-solving solutions
- Contribute to cost-benefit assessments to align technological solutions with our business strategy
- Lead the creation of novel capabilities and service offerings within SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP SaaS, covering the design and execution of fully integrated end-to-end solutions
- Take the lead in addressing technical challenges, applying industry best practices within the application development team
- Engage in hands-on programming, whether it be for front-end or back-end development
- Evaluate the impact of alterations and enhancements to applications while assisting in identifying integration points and holistic solution design
- Offer guidance on SAP CIO Guidelines, Integration Solution Advisory Methodology, Application Extension Methodology, RISE/GROW with SAP, and SAP Data and Analytics Advisory Methodology
- Estimate the workload associated with SAP development, Basis, DevOps activities, and technical architecture components
- Generate comprehensive solution architecture documentation, work/feature breakdown structure documents, and other relevant technical artifacts
requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in a relevant context
- Proven track record with a minimum of 2 successfully completed projects, including system design and architecture built from the ground up
- In-depth expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP S/4HANA
- Demonstrated experience in spearheading the development of innovative capabilities and service offerings
- Solid familiarity with SAP CIO Guidelines (On-premises / Cloud / Hybrid), Integration Solution Advisory Methodology (ISA-M), Application Extension Methodology, RISE/GROW with SAP, and SAP Data and Analytics Advisory Methodology
- Competence in estimating workload related to SAP development, Basis, DevOps activities, and technical architecture components
- Experience in creating comprehensive solution architecture documentation, work/feature breakdown structure documents, and other technically detailed artifacts
- Proficiency in the English language at an Upper-Intermediate level

- Familiarity with one of the leading cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Certifications from SAP or other reputable vendors
