Chief Java Developer
We are on the lookout for a Chief Java Developer to become a key part of our remote team.
As a vital player in our team, your role will revolve around the creation of scalable, extendable, and easily maintainable solutions. Your proficiency in data structures and algorithms will be highly valued. Your main responsibility will be to define, architect, and build high-quality software solutions. You will be expected to work closely with other software engineers and cross-functional teams, advocating for technologies, solutions, and best practices. You will also contribute fresh ideas to a larger community of high-quality professionals.
responsibilities
- Active role in defining, architecting, and building high-quality software solutions
- Collaboration with other software engineers and cross-functional teams to advocate technologies, solutions, and best practices
- Contribution of fresh ideas to a larger community of high-caliber professionals
- Effective management of resources, requirements, and complexity to ensure smooth project completion
- Alignment of work with the target market's needs and customer business objectives
- Participation in code reviews and provision of constructive feedback to enhance code quality
- Leadership of less experienced developers to ensure successful project outcomes
requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in Java development, with proficiency in the Java ecosystem including REST, Spring, and JPA
- A minimum of 2 years of experience leading software development teams with excellent leadership skills
- Solid understanding of Spring Boot and Microservices
- Experience working with Amazon Elastic Container Service and Amazon Web Services
- Proficiency in Java Microservice Infrastructure Tools
- Familiarity with GraphQL and JPA
- Comfort with a DevOps culture including Continuous Delivery, cloud deployments (preferably AWS), full automation, and Docker
- Ability to use data structures and algorithms to solve problems
- Possession of strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in Agile software development
- A passion for technology and the opportunities it presents for users of our systems
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
