Chief SAP ABAP Developer

We are actively looking for a highly experienced remote Chief SAP ABAP Developer to join our team, and drive the development of cutting-edge solutions for our esteemed clients.

In this role, you will entail active participation in pre-sales initiatives and championing innovative solution concepts. Also, you will be responsible for leveraging your profound expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP S/4HANA to guide the creation of unique functionalities, service offerings, and the development of seamlessly integrated end-to-end solutions.

responsibilities
  • Grasp stakeholder requirements to envision and craft innovative solutions for problem-solving
    • Provide support for cost/benefit analysis to align technology solutions with business strategies
      • Collect and organize functional and non-functional requirements, including quality attributes and constraints, for stakeholder demands
        • Participate in pre-sales initiatives as a technical architect and champion solution proposals
          • Spearhead the development of new capabilities and service offerings within SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP SaaS, encompassing the design and deployment of holistic end-to-end solutions
            • Take the lead within the application development team to address technical challenges using industry best practices
              • Be prepared to engage in hands-on programming for front-end and/or back-end development
                • Assess the impact of modifications and enhancements to applications, aiding in the identification of integration points and comprehensive solution design
                  • Offer guidance on SAP CIO Guidelines (On-premises / Cloud / Hybrid), Integration Solution Advisory Methodology (ISA-M), Application Extension Methodology, RISE/GROW with SAP, SAP Data and Analytics Advisory Methodology
                    • Estimate work efforts related to SAP development, Basis, DevOps activities, and technical architecture components
                      • Generate solution architecture documentation, work/feature breakdown structure documents, and other pertinent artifacts with in-depth technical insights
                        requirements
                        • A minimum of 7 years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer
                          • A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a relevant context
                            • A proven track record, with at least 2 successfully completed projects that involved system design and architecture built from the ground up
                              • Proficiency in several SAP Portfolio Categories and Products, including ERP and Finance, CRM and Customer Experience, Spend Management, Supply Chain Management, and HR and People Engagement
                                • Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) products and at least one of the following environments: Cloud Foundry, Kyma/Kubernetes, ABAP PaaS
                                  • Competence in designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines, with deployment across different environments, including Cloud and On-Premise
                                    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
                                      nice to have
                                      • Experience in SAP Technical Architecture Modeling (TAM) and Architecture Concept Document, as well as SAP BTP Architecture modeling
                                        • Exposure to cloud computing technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google
                                          • Understanding of several end-to-end business processes, including Idea to Market, Source to Pay, Plan to Fulfill, Lead to Cash, Recruit to Retire, Governance, and Finance
