Chief SAP ABAP Developer
We are on the lookout for a highly skilled remote Chief SAP ABAP Developer who can lead our development team in crafting cutting-edge solutions for our valued clients.
As a key member of our team, your role involves collaborating closely with stakeholders to comprehend their requirements, participating in pre-sales endeavors, and advocating for innovative solution concepts. Your profound knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP S/4HANA is pivotal in steering the creation of novel functionalities and service offerings, along with the formulation and deployment of seamlessly integrated end-to-end solutions.
responsibilities
- Foster close collaboration with stakeholders to grasp their requirements and aid in conceptualizing problem-solving solutions
- Assist in cost/benefit assessments to align technological solutions with our business strategy
- Spearhead the development of fresh capabilities and service offerings within SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP SaaS. This includes the design and implementation of fully integrated end-to-end solutions
- Take the lead in addressing technical challenges, employing industry best practices within the application development team
- Engage in hands-on programming, whether for front-end or back-end development
- Evaluate the impact of modifications and enhancements to applications, while also contributing to the identification of integration points and the holistic solution design
- Offer guidance on SAP CIO Guides, Integration Solution Advisory Methodology, Application Extension Methodology, RISE/GROW with SAP, and SAP Data and Analytics Advisory Methodology
- Estimate the workload associated with SAP development, Basis, DevOps activities, and technical architecture components
- Create comprehensive solution architecture documentation, work/feature-breakdown structure documents, and other relevant technical artifacts
requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in a relevant context
- Proven track record with at least 2 successfully completed projects, including system design and architecture from the ground up
- Profound expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP S/4HANA
- Demonstrated experience in leading the development of novel capabilities and service offerings
- A solid command of SAP CIO Guides (On-premises / Cloud / Hybrid), Integration Solution Advisory Methodology (ISA-M), Application Extension Methodology, RISE/GROW with SAP, and SAP Data and Analytics Advisory Methodology
- Competence in estimating workload related to SAP development, Basis, DevOps activities, and technical architecture components
- Experience in creating comprehensive solution architecture documentation, work/feature-breakdown structure documents, and other technically detailed artifacts
- Fluent English language skills at an Upper-Intermediate level

- Certifications from SAP or other reputable vendors
