Chief SAP ABAP Developer

We're actively seeking an adept remote Chief SAP ABAP Developer to spearhead our development team in creating state-of-the-art solutions for our esteemed clients.

As a key team player, your responsibilities involve close cooperation with stakeholders to understand their requirements, active participation in pre-sales activities, and championing innovative solution concepts. Your extensive proficiency in SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP S/4HANA is crucial in guiding the development of unique functionalities and service offerings, as well as the formulation and deployment of seamlessly integrated end-to-end solutions.

responsibilities
  • Cultivate strong collaboration with stakeholders to grasp their needs and contribute to formulating problem-solving strategies
    • Contribute to cost-effectiveness evaluations to align technological solutions with our business strategy
      • Lead the development of new capabilities and service offerings within SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP SaaS. This involves designing and implementing fully integrated end-to-end solutions
        • Proactively tackle technical challenges, applying industry best practices within the application development team
          • Engage in hands-on programming, whether for front-end or back-end development
            • Assess the implications of changes and enhancements to applications, while also aiding in identifying integration points and crafting comprehensive solution designs
              • Provide guidance on SAP CIO Guides, Integration Solution Advisory Methodology, Application Extension Methodology, RISE/GROW with SAP, and SAP Data and Analytics Advisory Methodology
                • Estimate the workload associated with SAP development, Basis, DevOps activities, and technical architecture components
                  • Create detailed solution architecture documentation, work/feature-breakdown structure documents, and other pertinent technical artifacts
                    requirements
                    • A minimum of 7 years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer
                      • At least 2 years of leadership experience in a relevant context
                        • Proven track record with at least 2 successfully completed projects, including system design and architecture built from the ground up
                          • In-depth expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP S/4HANA
                            • Demonstrated experience in leading the development of innovative capabilities and service offerings
                              • Proficiency in SAP CIO Guides (On-premises / Cloud / Hybrid), Integration Solution Advisory Methodology (ISA-M), Application Extension Methodology, RISE/GROW with SAP, and SAP Data and Analytics Advisory Methodology
                                • Ability to estimate the workload related to SAP development, Basis, DevOps activities, and technical architecture components
                                  • Experience in crafting comprehensive solution architecture documentation, work/feature-breakdown structure documents, and other technically detailed artifacts
                                    • Fluency in the English language at an Upper-Intermediate level
                                      nice to have
                                      • Experience in SAP Technical Architecture Modeling (TAM) and Architecture Concept Document, as well as SAP BTP Architecture modeling
                                        • Exposure to cloud computing technologies, such as Azure, AWS, or Google
                                          • Understanding of several end-to-end business processes
                                            • Knowledge and a good understanding of several architectural styles such as Monolith, Layered Architecture, Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Actor/Module-Based Architecture
