Chief SAP ABAP Developer
We're in search of an exceptionally skilled remote Chief SAP ABAP Developer to lead our remote development team in creating cutting-edge solutions for our valued clients.
Your role as a key team member involves close collaboration with stakeholders to grasp their needs, active participation in pre-sales initiatives, and championing innovative solution concepts. Your deep expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP S/4HANA is instrumental in steering the development of new functionalities and services, as well as the formulation and implementation of seamlessly integrated end-to-end solutions.
responsibilities
- Forge strong collaborations with stakeholders to understand their requirements and assist in conceptualizing effective problem-solving solutions
- Contribute to cost/benefit assessments to align technological solutions with our business strategy
- Lead the development of fresh capabilities and service offerings within SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP SaaS, encompassing the design and execution of fully integrated end-to-end solutions
- Take the initiative in addressing technical challenges, employing industry best practices within the application development team
- Engage in hands-on programming, whether for front-end or back-end development
- Assess the impact of modifications and enhancements to applications, while also aiding in the identification of integration points and holistic solution design
- Provide guidance on SAP CIO Guides, Integration Solution Advisory Methodology, Application Extension Methodology, RISE/GROW with SAP, and SAP Data and Analytics Advisory Methodology
- Estimate the workload associated with SAP development, Basis, DevOps activities, and technical architecture components
- Generate comprehensive solution architecture documentation, work/feature-breakdown structure documents, and other pertinent technical artifacts
requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in a relevant context
- Proven track record with a minimum of 2 successfully completed projects, including system design and architecture built from the ground up
- Profound expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP S/4HANA
- Demonstrated experience in leading the development of innovative capabilities and service offerings
- Strong familiarity with SAP CIO Guides (On-premises / Cloud / Hybrid), Integration Solution Advisory Methodology (ISA-M), Application Extension Methodology, RISE/GROW with SAP, and SAP Data and Analytics Advisory Methodology
- Competency in estimating workload related to SAP development, Basis, DevOps activities, and technical architecture components
- Experience in creating comprehensive solution architecture documentation, work/feature-breakdown structure documents, and other technically detailed artifacts
- Fluent English language skills at an Upper-Intermediate level

- Certifications from SAP or other reputable vendors
