Chief SAP ABAP Developer
We're in search of a highly talented remote Chief SAP ABAP Developer who can work remotely and lead our development team in crafting state-of-the-art solutions for our valued clients.
As a crucial member of our team, your role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to understand their needs, contributing to pre-sales efforts, and advocating for innovative solution concepts. Your deep expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP S/4HANA plays a vital role in guiding the creation of new functionalities and service offerings, as well as the formulation and deployment of seamlessly integrated end-to-end solutions.
responsibilities
- Cultivate strong collaboration with stakeholders to grasp their requirements and assist in devising problem-solving solutions
- Contribute to cost/benefit assessments to align technological solutions with our business strategy
- Lead the development of fresh capabilities and service offerings within SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP SaaS, encompassing the design and implementation of fully integrated end-to-end solutions
- Take charge of addressing technical challenges and apply industry best practices within the application development team
- Engage in hands-on programming, whether for front-end or back-end development
- Assess the impact of modifications and enhancements to applications while also contributing to identifying integration points and holistic solution design
- Provide guidance on SAP CIO Guides, Integration Solution Advisory Methodology, Application Extension Methodology, RISE/GROW with SAP, and SAP Data and Analytics Advisory Methodology
- Estimate the workload associated with SAP development, Basis, DevOps activities, and technical architecture components
- Generate comprehensive solution architecture documentation, work/feature-breakdown structure documents, and other pertinent technical artifacts
requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in a relevant context
- Proven track record with at least 2 successfully completed projects, including system design and architecture from the ground up
- Extensive expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP S/4HANA
- Demonstrated experience in leading the development of innovative capabilities and service offerings
- Proficiency in estimating workload related to SAP development, Basis, DevOps activities, and technical architecture components
- Experience in creating comprehensive solution architecture documentation, work/feature-breakdown structure documents, and other technically detailed artifacts
- Fluent English language skills at an Upper-Intermediate level

- The ability to identify solution gaps and devise strategies for closing them
- Understanding of one or more business domains
- Familiarity with one of the leading cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Certifications from SAP or other reputable vendors
- Capability to tailor SAP features and innovations to meet potential customer needs
