Chief SAP ABAP Developer

We are in search of an exceptionally skilled remote Chief SAP ABAP Developer who can lead our development team in crafting cutting-edge solutions for our valued clients.

As a pivotal member of our team, your role encompasses close collaboration with stakeholders to grasp their requirements, participation in pre-sales initiatives, and advocacy for innovative solution concepts. Your profound expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP S/4HANA is instrumental in guiding the creation of unique functionalities and service offerings, as well as the formulation and deployment of seamlessly integrated end-to-end solutions.

responsibilities
  • Promote close cooperation with stakeholders to understand their needs and contribute to conceiving problem-solving solutions
    • Assist in evaluating cost-effectiveness to align technological solutions with our business strategy
      • Lead the development of fresh capabilities and service offerings within SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP SaaS. This includes the design and implementation of fully integrated end-to-end solutions
        • Take the initiative in addressing technical challenges, applying industry best practices within the application development team
          • Engage in hands-on programming, whether it be for front-end or back-end development
            • Assess the impact of changes and enhancements to applications, while also aiding in identifying integration points and holistic solution design
              • Provide guidance on SAP CIO Guides, Integration Solution Advisory Methodology, Application Extension Methodology, RISE/GROW with SAP, and SAP Data and Analytics Advisory Methodology
                • Estimate the workload associated with SAP development, Basis, DevOps activities, and technical architecture components
                  • Generate comprehensive solution architecture documentation, work/feature-breakdown structure documents, and other pertinent technical artifacts
                    requirements
                    • A minimum of 7 years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer
                      • At least 2 years of leadership experience in a relevant context
                        • Proven track record with at least 2 successfully completed projects, including system design and architecture built from the ground up
                          • In-depth expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP S/4HANA
                            • Demonstrated experience in leading the development of innovative capabilities and service offerings
                              • Proficiency in SAP CIO Guides (On-premises / Cloud / Hybrid), Integration Solution Advisory Methodology (ISA-M), Application Extension Methodology, RISE/GROW with SAP, and SAP Data and Analytics Advisory Methodology
                                • Ability to estimate workload related to SAP development, Basis, DevOps activities, and technical architecture components
                                  • Experience in crafting comprehensive solution architecture documentation, work/feature-breakdown structure documents, and other technically detailed artifacts
                                    • Fluency in the English language at an Upper-Intermediate level
                                      nice to have
                                      • The capability to identify solution gaps and devise strategies for closing them
                                        • Understanding of one or more business domains
                                          • Familiarity with one of the leading cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
                                            • Certifications from SAP or other reputable vendors
                                              • The ability to present SAP features and innovations tailored to address potential customer needs
