We are currently looking for a remote Lead Big Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience in computer science, and strong Scala + Spark skills to join our team.
The customer is an American multinational retail corporation that operates a chain of hypermarkets, discount department stores, and grocery stores.
The main pool of tasks is associated with the development of a world-class data platform that helps to predict availability in stores for online orders.
responsibilities
- Development of the next-gen application which helps to predict availability in stores for online orders
- Entire lifecycle of product development from research investigation to production deployment, monitoring, and evaluation
requirements
- 5+ years of experience in computer science, Big Data. A formal degree in at least one of these areas, and work experience in the others
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Strong experience with Scala and Spark
- Experience with any cloud
- Experience with Airflow, GCP, Looker
- Proficient English (written and spoken) B2
