Lead CX/UX Researcher
We are looking for a Lead CX/UX Researcher to join our remote team.
You will collaborate with product leadership to understand the user and business needs and to identify research requirements. You will be responsible for guiding the product team in strategic decision-making, from identifying user needs to continuous usability testing of existing and new patterns. Your role involves creating understanding and empathy around user needs and exploring user behavior and motivations through methods like contextual inquiry, surveys, and usability testing. As an ambassador of design thinking and user-centered processes, you will champion new ideas, take risks, and relentlessly pursue excellence.
responsibilities
- Collaborate with product leadership to understand user and business needs, and identify research requirements
- Guide the product team in strategic decision-making, from identifying user needs to continuous usability testing of existing and new patterns
- Create understanding and empathy around user needs, stated and unstated, for the entire product team
- Explore user behaviors and motivations through methods like contextual inquiry, surveys, and usability testing
- Champion new ideas, take risks, and relentlessly pursue excellence
- Be an ambassador of design thinking and user-centered processes
requirements
- 5+ years of experience in user research, preferably in an agile environment
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring a team of engineers
- Solid understanding of generative and evaluative research methods for collecting data and insights that reveal user behavior, needs, and opinions
- Experience in conducting studies on go-to-market strategies, analyzing data, and providing recommendations
- Experience in advocating research findings to diverse audiences through engaging reports and presentations
- Ability to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, working closely with designers, product managers, engineers, and other professionals
- Familiarity with the principles of Lean Product and Lean UX and a solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD)
- Open to feedback and willing to receive constructive criticism
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Fluent Portuguese is a must-have
