Lead Data Scientist
We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join our remote team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the full data mining process, including data collection, cleansing, exploratory analysis, and development of Artificial Intelligence models such as Machine Learning. You will be proposing solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges. Your role will be essential in driving innovation and accelerating business growth through the use of data analytics and insights.
responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Data Scientists towards technical excellence and deliver projects on-time and within budget
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and opportunities for data-driven solutions
- Perform data analysis and develop predictive models to generate insights and recommendations for business decisions
- Design and implement Machine Learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems
- Propose data-driven strategies and solutions to tackle business challenges and drive innovation
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Data Science and Machine Learning, and apply them to enhance our capabilities
requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Science, with a focus on Machine Learning and Data Analysis
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring a team of engineers
- Experience in developing and implementing predictive models and algorithms
- Expertise in Data Science Commons, with proficiency in tools such as Python, R, SQL, etc.
- Capability to lead and mentor a team of Data Scientists towards technical excellence and deliver projects on time and within budget
- Ability to communicate complex ideas and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Portuguese, allowing for effective communication with teams and stakeholders
nice to have
- Experience in developing and deploying scalable Machine Learning models in a production environment
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, etc.
- Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Deep Learning
