Lead DevOps Engineer

Join us as a Lead DevOps Engineer in our remote team, where you will be integral in optimizing our Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

The successful applicant will be handling the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Azure environment, assuring top-notch performance and security. Tasked to liaise with our development and operations teams, you will deploy and manage cloud-based applications through Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm. Utilizing your prowess in Terraform, Bash, Ruby, and Python, automation of tasks and process streamlining will be an essential aspect of the role.

responsibilities
  • Overseeing design, implementation, and maintenance of Microsoft Azure infrastructure for our cloud-based application support
  • Tasked to deploy, manage, and adjust containerized applications via Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
  • Automating tasks alongside processes by harnessing Terraform, Bash, Ruby, and Python
  • Team collaboration to assure smooth deployment and operational continuity of cloud-based applications
  • Ensuring high-availability, performance, and security of our Azure environment
  • Development and upkeep of CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient application deployment
  • Utilizing Prometheus and Grafana to monitor and troubleshoot Azure environment issues
  • Junior DevOps engineers leadership and mentoring within the team
requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with a specialization in Azure infrastructure within a DevOps role
  • Track record of leading and managing developer teams, steering them to project success
  • In-depth knowledge and experience regarding Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) alongside containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation
  • Proficient in Bash Shell scripting, with additional competency in either Ruby or Python
  • Familiarity with GitOps as well as CI/CD pipelines
  • Background in using tools for monitoring and logging, like Prometheus and Grafana
  • Agile development methodology experience
  • Fluent in English communication with a level of Upper-Intermediate or higher
nice to have
  • Acquaintance with machine learning and data analytics technologies
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting
