Lead Java Developer
We're on the lookout for a Lead Java Developer to join our remote team.
As a seasoned team player, you'll be pivotal in developing scalable, extensible, and easily maintainable solutions. Your understanding of data structures and algorithms will be crucial. Your main job will be to define, architect, and create high-quality software solutions. Teaming up with other software engineers and cross-functional teams, you'll advocate for technologies, solutions, and best practices. You'll also contribute innovative ideas to a larger community of high-level professionals.
responsibilities
- Participation in defining, architecting, and building high-quality software solutions
- Collaboration with other software engineers and cross-functional teams to advance technologies, solutions, and best practices
- Contribution to a larger community of high-caliber professionals with innovative ideas
- Balancing resources, requirements, and complexity for smooth project execution
- Ensuring work aligns with the needs of the target market and customer's business objectives
- Involvement in code reviews and delivery of constructive feedback to improve code quality
- Guidance for less-experienced developers to ensure successful project outcomes
requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Java development, with expertise in the Java ecosystem including REST, Spring, and JPA
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers
- Solid understanding of Spring Boot and Microservices
- Experience with Amazon Elastic Container Service and Amazon Web Services
- Proficiency in Java Microservice Infrastructure Tools
- Familiarity with GraphQL and JPA
- Comfort with DevOps culture, including Continuous Delivery, cloud deployments (preferably AWS), full automation, and Docker
- Skill in utilizing data structures and algorithms to solve problems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with Agile software development
- Enthusiasm for technology and the opportunities it offers to system users
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
