Lead Java Developer
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Lead Java Developer to join our remote team.
As a Lead Java Developer, you will be leading the development of a modern cloud-based application for a US-based healthcare provider. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining Java-based microservices, APIs, and web applications. As a tech lead, you will be working with cross-functional teams, including product owners, architects, and developers, to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

- Lead the development of Java-based microservices, APIs, and web applications using Spring Boot and Java 8
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software products using best practices and coding standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, architects, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software products
- Ensure that the software products meet the requirements and specifications, ensuring that the code is reliable, testable, and maintainable
- Lead and mentor junior developers, ensuring that they follow best practices and coding standards
- Participate in code review sessions, ensuring that the code is of high quality and meets the coding standards
- Provide technical leadership and expertise to the team, ensuring that the team follows best practices and coding standards
requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in Java software development, demonstrating hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying Java-based applications
- 2+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Expertise in developing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot, Java Core, and Java 8
- Experience in unit testing using JUnit or Mockito, ensuring that the code is reliable and testable
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
- Experience in developing microservices architectures and infrastructure using Java
- Proven experience in cloud-based technologies, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS), using services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda
- Expertise in front-end development using ReactJS
- Experience in implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools
- Excellent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
nice to have
- Experience in developing and deploying microservices using Kubernetes or similar container orchestration tools
- Experience in using Git for version control system
- Experience with developing and deploying serverless applications using AWS Lambda and API Gateway
